Angelo Merani commences articles of clerkship with Code Hunter in August 2022.
Background
Mr. Merani completed his Undergraduate Studies at the University of Alberta and is currently completing his Juris Doctor with the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. He is an alumnus of the Institute for the Future of Law Practice.
Prior to reorienting himself towards a career in law, Mr. Merani spent several years as a project manager in the oil and gas sector and was involved with stakeholder relations in the non-profit space. He specialized in data-based strategic analysis.
Community Service
Mr. Merani is currently volunteering with Pro Bono Dalhousie at Schulich Law and providing supervised clinical advocacy services to start-up technology companies through the Law and Technology Legal Clinic. During his academic career he has been an active part of Amnesty International as the VP of Finance and the University of Alberta group Make Poverty History. During his professional career he has been extensively involved with Zebra Child Protection Centre, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton, and International Needs Canada.
