Articles of Clerkship.
Our articling program offers students an unparalleled opportunity to cultivate the skills required to develop a successful practice in litigation and advocacy.
We offer students practical experience in a variety of sophisticated commercial litigation matters. Our students are provided practical, hands-on experience in the conduct of files, will attend client interviews, questioning and court hearings and will be called upon to make meaningful contributions to the strategic advancement of our cases. A passion for the barrister’s art is an essential prerequisite.
We will not be recruiting for the 2023-2024 articling period.
We provide students with practical, hands-on legal experience in a collegial, highly collaborative firm environment. Our summer students conduct legal research, learn to prepare pleadings, briefs and memoranda, and accompany our lawyers to appearances in court, client meetings and questioning, with a view to experiencing the day-to-day work of a litigator. The work is challenging; our expectations are high. Industrious students are invited to submit an application.
The firm is proud to announce that we have hired Mackinley May (University of Alberta) and Anna Pachal (University of Victoria) as summer students for 2024.
We will not be participating in the 2024 (1L) recruitment process this winter.
