The firm’s namesakes are two of Canada’s most distinguished barristers. William E. (Bill) Code, Q.C. and Alan D. Hunter, Q.C. were both renowned for their acumen in court, surgical attention to detail, and relentless advancement of their clients’ causes. Their approach to practice was as craftsmen, a tradition passed on to past and current partners and, in turn, associates and students of the firm.
